The challenges ahead:
Most banks rely on mortgage markets. BTUBank doesn't invest in mortgages nor lend for housing needs. We are based solely in energy markets, primarily renewable energy. Wind, bio-fuels, solar and geothermal make up the bulk of our business.
We are also heavily involved in community development, bringing decades of experience working with youth and family agencies and allowing them to expand their occupational training classes to fill vacancies in the labor pool of developing renewable energy companies.
